Patricia O'Reilly

Patricia is a Dublin-based writer and lecturer. She has come the route of freelance print journalism to radio plays, documentaries, short stories and talks, and has written fiction and non-fiction books.

Her novels which have been translated into several languages, are Time & Destiny, the fantasised story of Irish designer Eileen Gray; Felicity’s Wedding; and Once Upon a Summer.

Non-fiction titles include Dying with Love; Writing for the Market; Earning your Living from Home; Working Mothers. Her latest Writing for Success was launched at Listowel 2006 Writers’ Week where she convened a workshop, titled Creative Writing – Getting Started.

Patricia facilitates courses on various aspects of writing throughout the country. She lectures in UCD as part of the Adult Education Programme. Titles are: Discovering & Channelling Creativity I & II; Writing for Radio; The Business of Writing; Editing Techniques.

Her subject in the Dunlaoghaire College of Further Education is the City & Guilds course on Print Journalism.
