Wordplay

This site is based in California and premiered in May 1997 and is devoted to the world of writing screenplays. Scheherazade Productions, which owns the site is the property of Academy Award ®-nominated writers Ted Elliott and Terry Rossio.

T hey co-wrote the DreamWorks animated feature SHREK, winner of the first Academy Award for Best Animated Film in 2002.

The site includes feature articles on screenwriting, and Q&A section based on the most frequently raised hares.

Essays and opinions from industry professionals working in Hollywood -- including writers, directors, producers, agents, and development executives, are included in a very accessible site. Practical advice and real-world perspectives from people doing the jobs today are included.

Scheherazade Productions is a production company formed to develop writer-driven projects and promote them to the studios.
