Nobel Prize

The Nobel Prize in Literature recognizes all literary works including poetry, novels, short stories, plays, essays and speeches.

The first prize in 1901 was awarded to the poet and philosopher Sully Prudhomme, since when the Prize has distinguished the works of authors from different languages and cultural backgrounds.

The site features content on the laureates and offers biographies, and interviews with the laureates and articles written by or about them.
