The Guild of Food Writers

The guild is a professional association of food writers and broadcasters in Ireland and the UK.

It claims a membership of some 350 authors, columnists, freelance journalists and broadcasters, all of whom have an interest in writing about food.

The guild offers professional support and guidance to its members and a directory of members is available for sale.

However, membership detail may be searched online with the caveat that writers living in the Republic of Ireland are listed as living in Eire, a place that does not exist in the English language.

A number of awards for food writing are administered annually by the guild and details are on the site.

Included is a links section of interest to food writers and other writers as well, as is a collection of members’ publications on their speciality.
