The website is dedicated to the Authors' Rights Awareness Campaign, a campaign that is an initiative of the European Writers' Congress.

Under the banner of "Texts Don't Grow on Trees – Authors' Rights Awareness Campaign" the EWC said it was building a resource on the website that authors could access

The campaign aims to raise awareness on the necessity to provide creators with acknowledgement and respect, fair use of their works and equitable economic remuneration.

Its stated aim is to recognise, protect, and enforce authors' rights throughout the European Union.

A number of downloads are avaialable to site visitors.
