The following is just one of our links to writing-related sites. For more, return to the links index page here .If you disagree with this review, let us know, and we will re-visit the site. See disclaimer. THE Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America's Committee on Writing Scams runs the Writers Beware site for the benefit of all. Although SFWA is a US-based organisation of science fiction and fantasy writers, it said its efforts are not limited by country or genre and the website is designed to be used by any writer, regardless of subject, style, genre, or nationality. Writer Beware is a volunteer effort, run by dedicated fraud-hunters who continually update the site with the latest information on literary schemes and frauds, and up-to-date information on what writers can to do protect themselves. The committee is advised by an experienced intellectual property and consumer protection attorney. Writers Beware maintains a database of questionable agents, publishers and book doctors assembled with the help of hundreds of writers and publishing professionals. A free research service is offered for anyone with questions about agents, publishers, and others. © askaboutwriting.net march 2004 Commentary included
