The
Writers Unit in Wales provides a full-time service for new and experienced
writers from all parts of Wales who want to write for television and radio
in English or Welsh.
It is keen to hear from writers with the potential to write for BBC TV
and Radio Drama and is particularly interested in voices that represent
the diversity of contemporary Wales.
Advice is offered on how to present scripts; but the unit warns that competition
is incredibly fierce and it is extremely rare for an unsolicited script
to be rushed into production. In the first instance writers receive brief
written feedback on the submitted script.
The unit accepts and reads sample scripts for all BBC Wales Drama production
teams.
