Society of Women Writers and Journalists

FOUNDED in 1894, the Society of Women Writers and Journalists, SWWJ, is now an international association affiliated to other worldwide women writers' associations.

The society meets regularly in London. It maintains regional groups of members. An overseas section has members in France, USA, Switzerland, Canada, Pakistan, and Israel.

Regular competitions are organised for members working in all areas of writing.

The SWWJ offers a manuscript advice service to its members, run by members, at a low cost.

Manuscripts may be taken to workshop meetings for reading and criticism. Country members may submit their work by post.

Detail of SWWJ activities are included on the site.
