Jonathan Swift was one of
the world's greatest satirists in the English language with works in
both verse and prose.
His most famous work is Gulliver's Travels and although it has captivated
the imagination of children all over the world, it is in fact recognised
as the most incisive political satire ever written, according to the
Swift Society.
The Kilkenny International Swift Society site is dedicated to Swift
and the society’s admiration for his work.
Details of writing competitions in the Swift style are carried on the
