This
is the home site of the Sherlock Holmes museum in London.
Created by Irish writer Arthur Conan Doyle, Sherlock Holmes and Doctor
Watson fictionally lived in a Victorian lodging house at 221b Baker Street
between 1881-1904.
The real house was built in 1815 and is officially listed to be protected
for its architectural and cultural heritage. Now open as a museum dedicated
to the life and times of Sherlock Holmes, the interior is maintained as
described in the published stories.
Included on the site are links of relevance to writers of crime fiction
and fans of the detective alike.
The Sherlock Holmes Society is open for membership to people in all countries
who receive the 'Baker Street Times' and learn about Victorian England
as part of membership.
