ScriptCircle is a posting website for playwrights and performers of one act and full length plays.
It is
operated and owned by UK Theatre Web and was started in July 2004 to provide
a method by which playwrights could promote their work and performing
companies could find new authors and scripts.
Playwrights can login and enter their own play details and, where they
hold the rights, they can also make scripts and performance licences available
over the web; free or for a fee, they decide.
ScriptCircle asks for a 15 per cent fee on all sales made though the site.
The site also contains a range of links, book reviews, news, a discussion
forum, the ability to check licences and an email notification list for
new plays.
