to detailing the progress of the Orange Prize for Fiction the site offers
news of ancillary activity.
Activity includes a commitment to encourage people to read and talk about
books together through Chatterbooks, a library based scheme that creates
and supports children's reading groups.
The scheme is a partnership between the national libraries network and
Orange co-ordinated by The Reading Agency. It is led by specially-trained
local librarians. A search facility is provided to locate participating
libraries.
Site visitors are encouraged to say what they think about the books longlisted
and shortlisted for the Orange Prize this year. A past winners archive
is provided for reference.
