Medieval Irish Poetry

The site was established in 1996 and belongs to Maureen S. O'Brien who said her translations are copy-permitted for educational purposes, if she is given credit, and notified of each use.

Included on the site is a medieval Irish poetry bibliography and appropriate links.

Links are provided to on-line sources, on-line dictionaries and language helps.

Selected poems are uploaded and each poem includes the original early modern Irish (or classical Irish) and O’Brien’s English translation.
