Irish Literary Revival

The website serves as a free, virtual library for readers and writers.

Every previously published, and currently unavailable, Irish book or book of Irish interest is eligible for uploading on the site, whether it is poetry, a novel, stories, non-fiction or drama written in either English or Irish.

All work on the site is released under a Creative Commons Licence, so authors retain their copyright while allowing the texts to be downloaded, according to a statement from the site’s backers.

The writer sends an electronic copy of the eligible book, with details of its history and status, to the site and the librarians upload it for all to read.
