Concentrating mostly on the UK regional press, the site strives to be one of the best places to find out more about the industry, it said.

News stories are carried on developments in the regional press and there is a valuable section offering current story ideas for editorial meeting consideration.

Also listed are regional journalism vacancies. The latest jobs are highlighted on the home page and there are many more in all areas of journalism on a dedicated vacancies section.

For a small annual fee, freelance journalists can list their specialities in an online journalist's directory.

There is also a links section with links to the websites of UK weekly or daily newspapers.
