Google Print

Google Print is an online searchable archive of the full texts of books scanned from publishers and libraries.

The service has caused lively discussion in the world of books and writing and not everybody agrees with the concept.

The website includes a discussion of what portions of materials are available for books that may still be under copyright protection:

Google said "Search the full text of books to find ones that interest you and learn where to buy or borrow them."

A visitor does a search on Google Book Search or on Google.com. When the system finds a book whose content contains a match for the search terms, Google links to it in the search results.

A Snippet View which, shows information about the book plus snippets.
The Sample Pages View are used if the publisher or author has given Google permission to do so.
A Full Book View is offered if the book is out of copyright.
