An offshoot
of the British national newspaper the Guardian, the site has
aspirations to be the most intelligent, thoughtful and lively books site
on the web.
It combines the literary content of the Guardian and Observer
newspaper with a web sensibility and original material in different genres,
it said.
Of interest to poets is the monthly hosting of an online poetry workshop
by an established poet. The selected poet sets an exercise, chooses the
most interesting responses and offers appraisal.
The site also has a comprehensive links site to all manner of things literary
for practitioners and admirers alike to admire and access.
