Freelance America

Two freelance writers based in Omaha Nebraska produce a regular podcast aimed at freelance writers.

Wayne Brekke and Laurie Hodges offer universal tips from their own practical experience and interview industry professionals to hear the view from the other side of the desk.

The Freelance America podcast are archived on the website and take a little while to download before they can be heard in their entirety. Broadband is required to listen in.

Episode 9 for instance includes an interview with a commissioning editor; writers bidding online for work and the way it's going; how invoices and payment system can work; networking groups; and ways to get over the wall when it hits.

All good stuff.
