FBI

In 1908, US Attorney General Charles Bonaparte ordered nine newly hired detectives, 13 civil rights investigators, and 12 accountants to take on investigative assignments in the areas of antitrust, peonage, and land fraud.

The website gives detail of the evolution of the FBI and offers up-to date information on the activities and preoccupations of the more than 30,000 employees in the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Its reports and publications may be accessed through the site and tips are posted on how to avoid being a victim of fraud, all grist to the mill of the working crime writer.
