Disability Writes

THE website was launched in 2005 to be where disabled writers and would-be writers can get support and feedback, specific to them, from people who recognise the barriers faced by disabled people.

Disability Writes actively supports and encourages disabled writers, whatever their previous writing experience. It promotes the work of disabled writers to a wide audience through the website and printed publications.

Disabled people can register to the site and receive constructive feedback on their writing through the work-in-progress section.

People are not judged on their spelling and grammar. Good quality writing is encouraged.

Registered visitors to the site can decide whether they would like their work openly reviewed by their peers or whether they would prefer private review and feedback until their work has developed.

Both registered and non-registered visitors to the site will be able to read the completed work on publication.

A forum is provided for the exchange of views.
