Blinking Eye Publishing

Blinking Eye Publishing promotes the work of writers aged more than 50 years through annual poetry and short story competitions which are confined to qualifying chronologically-qualified writers.

It also encourages and inspires older writers through commissioning of articles and creative work from accomplished writers.

Many of the creators of the articles have had experience of judging competitions.

They offer entrants their views on many aspects of creative writing.

You may agree, or disagree with their views.

Such is the world of writing.

Blinking Eye Publishing was founded by Jeanne Macdonald in 2004 to correct an imbalance in the competitive world of poetry. Young poets are offered many opportunities in the area of funding and in the field of publishing.

However, once past 50 years, the offers become sparse, and even established poets have difficulty finding a source to publish their collections.

Hence, the eye blinketh.
