The BBC site for editorial guidelines includes advice on a number of areas where the BBC's editorial values are re-stated.

The values are universal and may be studied by other writers as guide to best practice.

They include pieces on: editorial responsibility, accuracy, impartiality, fairness, privacy, crime and anti-social behaviour, harm and offence, children, politics and public policy, war, terror and emergencies, religion, editorial integrity and independence, external relationships, interacting with audiences, the law, and accountability.
