Association for Scottish
Literary Studies

The Association for Scottish Literary Studies (ASLS) aims to promote the study, teaching and writing of Scottish literature, and to further the study of the languages of Scotland.

Its website reflects the aims of the association.

The website has a useful section where updates and links to them are listed.

A very comprehensive links page leads on to complementary sites for further reading or assistance.

A site search function is supplied and clearly identified as such, which helps.

Prospective members may access a membership application form online.

ASLS publishes New Writing Scotland, an annual anthology of short fiction and poetry which takes submissions from writers resident in Scotland, or Scottish by birth, upbringing or inclination, every year between May and October.
