The Scottish Newspaper Publishers Association
The Scottish
Newspaper Publishers Association (SNPA) site offers links to the online
versions of many Scottish periodicals offering circulation and example
detail to marker researching writers.
The SNPA is the representative voice for Scotland's local press. Its 12
member publishers account for the vast majority of weekly and bi-weekly
newspapers and their associated websites, said the association.
The twelve control the majority of the 120 weekly and bi-weekly, paid-for
and free-distribution newspapers throughout Scotland, the Hebrides, Orkney
and Shetland.
The organisation is headquartered in Edinburgh, employing a small staff, actively supported by individual publisher executives.
