Oscar Wilde Centre for Irish Writing

The M.Phil in Creative Writing at the Oscar Wilde Centre for Irish Writing in Dublin’s Trinity College is the first Master's programme in creative writing offered by an Irish university.

It is designed as a one-year, full-time course for students who are seriously committed to writing, are practising or prospective authors. The site carries detail of how to apply to join the programme and there is an internal links section for the college.

Applicants are expected to have a university degree or equivalent qualification for the course.

Students will be selected on the basis of a portfolio of recent creative work submitted with the PAC application. This portfolio should include no more than 12 pages of prose (short stories, excerpt from a novel or drama) or 6-8 poems; genres may be combined.
