The National Association of Writers' Groups

The National Association of Writers' Groups has more than 150 affiliated groups and more than 100 individual members according to its website which declares its aims to be to bring fellowship to isolated writers’ groups and individuals, and to promote writing in all its aspects.

It offers free entry competitions to members.

NAWG is as an umbrella organisation which liaises with Arts Councils and Arts Boards; the Poetry Society; the South Bank Poetry Library; the National Poetry Foundation; the Arvon Foundation; and other organisations.

It provides an information service to enquirers on where to find a local group and how to set up a new group in an area.
