National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE)

The National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE) supports development of creative writing of all genres and in all educational settings throughout the UK.

Its website contains news of events, courses, opportunities and funding for writers in education.

A Literature Database features writers who offer performances, undertake commissions or work in education. It offers to provide a comprehensive listing of writers who are available for readings, performances, seminars, workshops or any other professional engagements. More than 1200 writers are currently listed.

The site also lists some relevant notes on child protection for any artist or organisation working unsupervised with young people under 19 years of age or with particularly vulnerable adults.
