The library council

The Library Council, An Chomhairle Leabharlanna, has revamped its website and the result is a sassy site with relevant links to library-relevant sites.

Library.ie aims to be the first stop on the web for information about libraries in Ireland. It has detail of public, academic, and other libraries.

It also has information on cultural heritage, and government and public information.

There is even a jobs and careers section for those seeking either workers or work.

Many county libraries are offering an online search for particular titles and library.ie lists those who are online so far.

The site is undergoing continuous development so suggestions are welcomed by the webmaster.
