Galway Arts Centre

The Galway Arts Centre site lists events and news of doings at the centre.

It features news of the Cúirt International Festival of Literature and is home to west 47 the online literary journal.

Online47, in addition to other material, carries writing from the Castlerea Prison Writers' Group.

Galway Arts Centre was established in 1982 and is now housed in the former residence of the Persse family.

The family’s most famous member was Lady Gregory of Coole Park, playwright and patroness of the Irish literary revival and one of the founders of The National Theatre of Ireland - The Abbey.
