Dublin Writers Museum

Dublin Writers' MuseumDublin can lay claim to many writers as its children. Accordingly, the Dublin Writers Museum commemorates some of them.

Situated on Parnell Square, the museum occupies an eighteenth-century house, which accommodates the museum rooms, library, gallery and administration area.

It draws together strands of Irish literature and complements smaller museums devoted to Joyce, Shaw, Yeats and Pearse.

It holds many books representing milestones in the progress of Irish literature from Gulliver's Travels to Dracula, The Importance of Being Earnest, Ulysses and Waiting for Godot.

The site lists materials held and offers direction on how to go about seeing it all for yourself, which you should.
