For more than 80 years, the Guild has been the voice of American writers.

News page includes reports on a class-action lawsuit filed by the Guild, ASJA and several writers alleging massive copyright infringement of freelance articles by major electronic databases.

Authors Guild members receive a free contract review from the Guild’s Legal Services and the site offers advice on negotiating an improved book contract.
