Eighteenth-Century Chronology

Despite its name this site offers a searchable data base spanning the period 1600 to 1800.

You select a year and discover what was going on in philosophy, politics, science, literature and art at that time.

While the site is a work in progress, there is much to be had from it in its present state of development.

It is ideal if you are trying to recall which century something occurred when you are in the middle of a writing piece.
