Poetry consultant offers newsletter to interested parties

Recently appointed Poetry Consultant for the MA in Poetry Studies at Mater Dei Institute in Dublin Dave Lordan has announced he will distribute a regular newsletter on his progress.

His brief is to develop practice-based resources for the teaching of the reading, writing and performing of poetry/creative writing in schools, and in community education more generally, said Lordan.

He will focus particularly on proving how facilitating personally authentic creative expression can enhance learner autonomy and improve literacy among both mainstream and disadvantaged learner groups.

The regular newsletter will chronicle his progress in the role and the projects he will undertake as part of it.
