Dynamic
journalism for BBC Wales
BBC
Wales is inviting submissions from the independent sector for a new, dynamic
and high impact journalism programme.
The new half-hour programme will be broadcast in a consistent near-peak
weekday slot on BBC1 Wales, said the broadcaster.
It will run for twenty eight weeks of the year with three distinct series
in autumn, winter and spring/summer.
The new programme will aim to hold Wales to account. It should be challenging,
sometimes edgy, delivering high quality journalism and analysis that creates
an impact with viewers. It should include a mix of crafted filmed packages,
robust face to face interviews and debate as part of its armoury, said
the broadcaster.
Its production, presenting and reporting team will be expected to deliver
high quality journalism.
While
the programme should aim to reflect and deliver fresh perspectives on
key current issues and events, the team will also be expected to think
originally - delivering content that does not always follow the news agenda,
according to the job description.
Closing date for submissions is midday on
February 17, 2012.
