Website launches for 2012 National Libraries Day

A website for the UK’s National Libraries Day is now live.

The site has resources and inspiration and videos and downloadable resources for libraries that wish to become involved on February 4, 2012.

National Libraries Day will highlight what people can do in their local library, said the organizers.

A membership campaign is to be conducted in the lead-up to the date.

During the week before National Libraries Day events and activities will take place in a variety of libraries including in schools, colleges, prisons and universities.

Libraries will open for extended opening hours around the promotion.
