Plough
Prize for Poetry
Entries
are invited for the Plough Prize for Poetry 2010 in three categories.
They are: an open poem of up to 40 lines, a short poem of up to 10 lines,
or an unrestricted-in-length poem for children.
Entry fees are: £4.00 per poem; block of four entries, £14;
thereafter £3.50 each; tick-box crit £6; full crit £30.
Formerly free tick-box critiques are available at £6 per poem for
entries received by September 30, 2010.
A specially-engraved Dartington crystal vase will be awarded for the best
poem from a Devon-based poet.
Each entry, of one or more poems, should be accompanied by an entry form
Poems must be the original work of the entrant, unpublished, and must
not have won a prize in any other competition. No entrant may win more
than one prize in each category.
The Plough Arts Centre reserves the right to display winning entries on
its website, and to display, broadcast, or use them in promotional literature
for a period of twelve months after the competition's end.
Closing date for entries is October 31,
2010.
