New
short story competition for writers of children's fiction
Pighog
Press has launched a short story competition aimed at writers of fiction
for children and young people. The writers should be living in Kent, Sussex,
Surrey or Hampshire.
The award for the winning story is £250, with four runners up receiving
£50 each.
Writers of any nationality who are aged more than 16 years are welcome
to submit a story, but the story must be written in English.
Maximum story length to be no more than 3,000 words.
Stories must not have been published previously nor accepted for publication.
They must be original pieces of work, written by the writer who has submitted
the story.
Closing date for entries is March 31, 2010.
