Albedo
One wants speculative fiction
The
grand prize in the Albedo One 2010 contest, is €1,000 and publication
in Albedo One.
The contest is aimed at promoting new writers and writing in the speculative
fiction genres which includes horror, SF, fantasy, anything in-between
or unclassifiable, according to the promoters.
As a bonus prize this year, the winning story will have the option of
publication for one year in the Storywire section of the Authorlink.com
where authors earn royalties from online readers of their work.
The contest is open to stories of up to 8,000 words in any speculative
genre. The contest is also open to writers of all nationalities.
Entry fee is seven euro.
The competition runs in four rounds, at the end of which the judges will
announce on the Albedo One website a shortlist of those entries they feel
worthy of further consideration.
The first round ends March 31, the second June 30, the third September
30 and the final round November 30, 2010.
