City-pick Dublin and Carry a poem

Specially published to celebrate Dublin becoming a UNESCO World City of Literature in 2010 City-pick Dublin will be available from March 11, 2010.

City-pick Dublin is the latest title in the city-pick series which already includes Paris, London and Berlin

More than 60 writers and more than 100 extracts bring to life an extraordinary city.

City-pick Dublin is introduced by Orna Ross, Dublin journalist and bestselling author of A Dance in Time.

Meanwhile, thousands of Edinburgh residents may pick up a free poetry book and poetry pocketcards all across the city in February as part of the Carry a Poem reading campaign, due to launch on February 1, 2010.

The Carry a Poem book features Scots talking about the poems they carry with them and the reasons why.

Carry a Poem 2010 is an initiative by the Edinburgh UNESCO City of Literature Trust.
It is the fourth citywide reading campaign to take place in Edinburgh, and is being run in conjunction with the Scottish Poetry Library and City of Edinburgh Libraries.
