Write about Jack the Ripper

daggerThe day after the murder everyone was talking about Jack the Ripper, is the opening line in a story competition asking for stories about Jack the Ripper.

The Whitechapel Society is offering a prize of £100 in its 2009 short story competition.

Entries should be sent as an email attachment; but the entry fee of £5 per entry is by cheque only, which needs to be sent in the normal way.

Only one entry per person is allowed.

All work must be unpublished. Stories should have a maximum length of 3,000 words.

Copyright will remain the property of the author. All entrants give the Whitechapel Society permission to publish their work for future publicity - promotional - media usage.

A winner will be announced at the Whitechapel Society December 2009 meeting and in the February 2010 Whitechapel Journal.

Closing date for entries is October 3, 2009.
