Guardian First Book Award 2009
The
Guardian First Book Award 2009 has been launched to publishers.
Now in its 11th year, the award rewards new writing across fiction and
non-fiction.
The award is open to all first-time authors writing in English, or translated
into English, across all genres.
The prize is £10,000 and an advertising package in the Guardian
and the Observer for an author's first book published in
2009.
An overall winner will be announced in December.
Submissions are only accepted from publishing houses. Publishers may submit
up to three titles per imprint.
All books entered must have a registered ISBN number,or equivalent.
Entries must be submitted by July 17,2009.
