Sharks
appear at newspaper office.
Australian
journalists are used to dealing with sharks in their trawl through the
flotsam and jetsom of daily life.
However, when a live shark was left lying at the front door of the town's
Warrnambool, Victoria, Standard newspaper staff had no idea of any person
that wished them any harm or wished to send them any type of message.
Still.
The constables poured some water on the shark to see if it was still breathing
and it kicked back, to show it still had a bite.
The fish was identified as a Port Jackson shark, regarded as harmless
to humans except for two venomous dorsal spines.
Police brought the fish to the water and it swam away; but they warned
that if caught, the person responsible for dumping the shark would be
charged with cruelty to animals.
