Biographers’ Club Prize
The
£2,000 Biographers’ Club Prize 2009 is renamed the Tony Lothian
Biographers’ Club Prize.
The prize aims to support uncommissioned first-time writers working on
a biography.
Applicants should submit a proposal of no more than 20 pages, including
a synopsis and 10-page sample chapter: double-spaced, numbered pages.
Entry fee is £10.
Include a CV and a note on the market for the book and competing literature.
The winner will be announced at a prize-giving dinner on October 22, 2009.
The Biographers’ Club is a registered charity. It hosts literary
events throughout the year, some free or subsidised for students.
Closing date for entries is August 1, 2009.
