Ted Walters International short
story and poetry competition
Story
and poetry submissions are being accepted to the Ted Walters International
Short Story and Poetry Competition 2008 as part of Liverpool’s year
as the European Capital of Culture.
Prizes in the short story category are £200 or £50
Prizes in the poetry category are: £200 or £50.
Entry fees are £3 each for the first and £2.50 thereafter.
The University of Liverpool Creative Writing Society for Lifelong Learning
will donate £1 from each entry fee to Macmillan Cancer Support.
The author’s identity or contact details must not appear on any
entry but be supplied on a separate cover sheet.
Results will be available after August 1, 2008.
Poems may be on any subject or theme, in any style or form and must not
exceed 40 lines.
Stories may be on any subject or theme must be double spaced and no more
than 2,000 words.
Two copies of each entry must be submitted. Entries must to be typewritten
on one side of the page only.
