Deaf Children's Society's Competition
Young
deaf people in Northern Ireland have been invited byThe National Deaf
Children’s Society to participate in the annual Young Authors and
Artists competition.
The theme is Invent, and, using creative writing or visual art entrants,
entrants must answer the question, “If you could invent one thing,
what would it be and why?”
All deaf young people aged 4 to 18-years in Northern Ireland may enter
the competition directly or through their school.
First, second and third place prizes within three age categories for both
creative writing and visual art will be awarded.
Entrants may submit one piece for each of the competitions.
NDCS is the national charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers
for deaf children and young people.
The NDCS uses the term ‘deaf’ to mean all types of deafness,
including temporary deafness such as glue ear.
