A
parenting magazine with a difference will read submissions in Co Wicklow.
The magazine’s purpose is not to hand out advice on child-rearing
techniques and principles but rather to help women share together the
experience of what it is to mother a child, according to the editor:Sharon
Smith.
“It’s basic ethos is that women who become mothers do not
lose their self-identity or the ability to think,” she said. “This
is to be a forum for the sharing of those intelligent thoughts –
a more literary based publication than the glossy style of parenting magazine
already on the shelves.
Most articles are to be essays borne from personal experience. Also for
consideration are short stories related to the theme of motherhood.
The magazine has yet to be given a title but submissions may be emailed;
or posted to S. Smith, 5b, Ballinahinch Terrace, Ashford, Co. Wicklow.
