Writers Digest accepts ten
Writers’
Digest is accepting entries in ten categories for its annual writing
competition.
The winners could win a trip to New York for two, where they’ll
spend three days and two nights in the city.
While there, a Writer’s Digest editor will escort the writers
to share their work with four editors or agents. In addition, the winners
will receive a free Diamond Publishing Package from Outskirts Press.
Categories open for entries are: inspirational writing (spiritual/religious),
memoirs/personal essay, magazine feature article, category short story,
mainstream/literary short story, rhyming poetry, non-rhyming poetry, stage
play, television/movie script, or children's/young adult fiction.
Entry Fees for poems are $10 for the first entry; $5 for each additional
poem submitted in the same online session.
All other entries are $15 for the first manuscript; $10 for each additional
manuscript submitted in the same online session.
Closing date for entries is May 15, 2008.
