BSFA 50th Anniversary Short Story Competition

woman tattooThe British Science Fiction Award (BFSA) 50th Anniversary Short Story Competition is accepting entries from writers from the UK and Ireland.

A first prize of £500 is on offer.

Entry fee is £10.

The winning and shortlisted entries will be published in a special issue of Focus the BSFA’s magazine for writers.

All stories must be original works of fiction, they must not have previously been published anywhere, in any format.

Shortlisted stories must not be published elsewhere until after their publication in Focus. All rights revert to the authors upon publication.

An entry form may be downloaded from the website

Closing date is September 5, 2008

The author’s identity or contact details must not appear on any poem but be supplied on a separate cover sheet.
