The
fine detail of the romance short story being run by RTÉ, the RTÉ
Guide and Harlequin Mills & Boon requires entrants to be residents
on the island of Ireland.
There is no entry fee payable, according to the rules published in the
RTÉ Guide.
The rules state that entrants will grant the promoters
the right, without payment of any fee, to publish any entry, in
the RTÉ Guide, in any publication of Harlequin Mills &
Boon and elsewhere in connection with the competition.
The RTÉ Guide is Ireland's largest selling magazine, with
a circulation of 102,705 in December 2006.
Writers are invited to write a romantic story of between 900 and 1,000
words.Three winners will receive some prize for the effort.
The overall winner will see their story published in the RTÉ
Guide, and be interviewed on the Today with Pat Kenny radio programme.
They'll win a trip for two to London and have a consultation with a Mills
and Boon editor.
A second placed entrant will win an overnight and romantic dinner for
two in a Dublin hotel.
Three authors will win a two-year supply of selected Mills and Boon series
books.
Closing date May 9, 2007.
